App description: Welcome to Shadow Town. There are beaches, but you should not go near the water. There are woods, but those who enter them never return. And there's a village, but all it has to offer are empty streets and fog that hangs in the air like a curse. The only thing you can explore in this place is the source of the terror that will grip your heart.

Mark and Angel didn't mean to come here. But something caused their small boat to crash on the island; something dragged Angel into the darkness; and something is drawing Mark closer to a shocking truth as he looks for his wife. Will you be his guiding hand as he explores spine-chilling locations for hidden objects? Will you stand by his side as he confronts terrifying creatures? Will you be his muse as he solves mind-bending puzzles? Or will you seek out a less forbidding adventure? Play Twisted Lands: Shadow Town today and prove you have what it takes to survive...

Alawar is going to release Twisted Lands: Shadow Town, and Lite version is already available in the App Store!! If you're a fan of hidden-objects quests and spooky games, this game is definitely a must-have.

The full version will become available December 15th.

P.S.: Do not play Twisted Lands: Shadow Town in the dark room...

Hmmm. Alawar? Horror themed (hidden objects) adventure?

Alawar games are always a must buy for me! - can't wait to get the full version and will gladly review it.

Which price for the iPhone version, if I may ask?

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

Thank you! The PC version of this game was #1 in Top 100 Games on BigFishGames.com for 2 weeks, so we're excited about delivering it to Apple mobile devices.

The price is supposed to be $3.99.

Thanks!

Yeah... my fiancee has a BigFish Games account and always gets their match-3 and hidden objects games there... that's why the game looked familiar. I think I saw it there (but dunno if she played it). Well, as I said, Alawar and BigFish are must-haves. I guess this iPhone port is the same game as the pc version?

But waiting until Dec., 15th for this? Ouch....

P.S.: if you like to play a game which you never, never ever should play in the dark, try "Amnesia - The Dark Descent".
I had to stop playing that one night because I nearly... pants... you know...

Yes, Amnesia really delivers... I lope that feeling of total helplessness, alone in the dark. Never seen a game with a better atmosphere.

Regarding this game - I love mystery / horror themed games, these are my favourites.
It doesn't neccessarily has to be blood and gore in every detail - when a game can build up a spooky and eerie atmosphere and gives me the creeps, I am totally happy. Creepy things you imagine before your inner eye are always more dreadful than things you can actually see. Our brain is quite talented with this.

So, I'll try the lite now and will cry after that because there's such a long waiting time...

Played the lite version this eve - I'm sold. Love the combination of adventure and hidden match; not to mention, the graphics, sound and interface which are all first class. Very polished product...can't wait.

Twisted Lands is the first experience of our studio - Alawar Stargaze - in creating a horror game, and their aim was exactly to make the atmosphere without such cheap tricks as spiders, zombies, flash and blood etc.
Looking forward to hear what you think about the game

That sounds quite like the type of game I love.
Do you remember Mystery Case Files: Dire Groove? I think this title might be similar - and I loved it.

I am always surprised that Alawar mostly succeeds in bringing new and unique twists into the existing genres of games.
My all-time favs Treasures of Montezuma, Natalie Brooks or Gourmania are such examples.
