Your iPad is like a touchscreen display attached to a giant supercomputer in the cloud.

But the possibilities of what we can do with OnLive combined with iPadboth for gaming and other applicationsare endless. What you are seeing today is just the very tip of an enormous iceberg. Stay tuned for great stuff to come.

This could be amazing when they get the games working. If I can play big name console quality titles On my ipad streaming off my work wi-fi in my lunch breaks I'm in. Looking forward to hearing more. i think we're finally going to NEED that add on controller though. If onlive could patch in support for 360 amd ps3 wireless controllers that would be sweeet...Whether or not that can or will happen???

I was just about to post this. OnLive works amazingly well on PC/Mac and they have a cheap microconsole shipping now as well (waiting on mine). It would be better if this could play games, but I think we would really need a Bluetooth controller and sometimes a keyboard to play most of the current catalog.

As it is, what a crazy, useless, awesome concept. Looking forward to grabbing this one for my iPad tonight.

What a fascinating idea. If I'm interpreting this statement correctly, OnLive sees a future whereby PC-quality games can be modified to have touch controls, then deployed and played over their service. For example, a few minor changes to Defense Grid could make it a natural fit to the iPad.

Now I'm really excited!

World of Goo is already on the service and would be a natural fit for conversion to iOS controls.
