I was hoping for a game better than GT Racing Academy or Hot Pursuit even, in the actual Realness of the Racing.

I have not played this yet, but have played the first game. I recon the reason you think you can go into a corner at any speed is because of break assistance, try turning it off.

I was going to mention that too. With any brake assistance on it pretty much does the braking for you and makes it very hard to go off or drift or anything...

Given the diametrically opposite preferences expressed here, I suspect one can adjust the settings to make in more arcade vs more sim as one sees fit...

The graphics have been looking so much better in games released in the last few weeks. Real Racing 2 puts Real Racing's graphics to shame! Everything really pops.

Make sure that anti-skid and steering assist are off too (they are on by default), and if you're not already using it, you might prefer control method B (manual acceleration and braking).

Here's my two cents on this...if you don't want to read my review.
RR2 is significantly different and better than the first RR. The tracks have been redesigned and the driving much more fluid. I don't need to add anymore to what I've already said about the graphics other than they are beautiful.
