Default Samurai II: Vengeance on Sale - 0.99USD

Samurai II: Vengeance on Sale now !
Only from 20 to 22nd December !

TouchArcade
"First off, if the cell shaded graphics of the original Samurai wowed you, to put it lightly, you ain't seen nothin' yet. The game looks great in screenshots, but seeing it running at 60fps on the Retina Display of the iPhone 4 or on the iPad is downright incredible. Utilizing the latest version of the Unity 3D engine, MADFINGER Games has made the entire game world even more detailed, making me stop quite often while playing the game to just look at my surroundings to take note of just how great something like a patch of bamboo looked– Something I really can't say for too many video games, console titles included."

AppModo
The game, with its beautiful and meticulously rendered 3D artwork, easily makes this a title to own. With animations running at 60 frames per second, every movement is so clean and fluid one can’t help but get drawn into the action

CNET
Complicated at first but easy to grasp, Samurai II: Vengeance offers a balanced mix of slashing, bloody violence, and a puzzle-solving storyline.

4.5/5 stars "Must Buy" -- Samurai II is one of the best games in the App Store with superb gameplay, and an absolutely beautiful game environment. The game is effortless to control so it lets you focus on the non-stop action trying to deal with complex enemies. You will spend a load of time with the game, and enjoy every minute of it.

MacWorld
"4.5 out of 5 mice - graphically stunning hack-and-slasher is sure to please
Samurai II is a very entertaining title with solid gameplay and stunning graphics. Despite its shortcomings, Samurai II is worth every cent of the $3 it sells for."

Craving Tech
"Great game, great design, great fun. Highly recommended!
Overall, Samurai II: Vengeance is a must to have game on the iPhone/iPod/iPad. I’ve been trying to find a flaw in the game or something that can be improved like I normally do on my reviews, but honestly I haven’t been able to think of one! Samurai II: Vengeance is just so fun to play and well-polished"

MacStories
"Game of the Week -- While clearly inspired by the post-God of War generation (the level schemes, the rich graphics, the bosses, the upgrades, the roll), it retains a somewhat old-style feeling that I was missing on the iPhone.
Great graphics and old style gameplay, Samurai II is highly recommended. Go get it and enjoy it for the weekend, folks.

TouchGen - 4 out of 5 stars
As a complete package, MADFINGER delivers more than enough ways to kill for $2.99. The game is worth playing just for the visuals, and the fact that slicing and dicing is quite a bit of fun is a bonus. If you’re offended by a bit of blood (okay, a TON of blood), stay away. But if you have the typical fascination with samurais and what they can do with a blade, then this is the ticket. As a perfect example of how a sequel can improve over an original in every way, this is a rare treat.

TapScape
"All said and done, this is a great action game with incredible detail. Sometimes opponents slice literally in half, and when you’re especially victorious blood splatters straight onto your screen.
Bottom Line: Samurai II: Vengeance is an engaging adventure fighting game for iPhone and iPad, with good graphics, fast paced play, and an engaging plot. For $2.99 it’s a steal."

Gamer's Temple - 90%
For a true gaming experience in your pocket loaded with plenty of eye candy, Samurai Vengeance II will satisfy your bloodthirst.

RipTen - 9 out of 10
Overall, the game just shows a lot of polish. The graphics are solid, the gameplay is fun, and they’ve even included support for game center achievements, which is a nice touch. All in all, the game is definitely a good buy. At $2.99, it’s not going to break the bank. Replay value is high, and I haven’t been able to put the game down since I got it.

GamesRadar
"iPhone Game of the Day
It's a fairly repetitive game, but for $2.99 you'll definitely get your money's worth. The production values are ace and the bloody action is suitably satisfying. Hack n' slash fans could easily spend their cash on worse things."

Mobile Tech Review 5 out of 5

The first impression you will get when you pick up Samurai II: Vengeance is that the game’s console quality in many ways. The gameplay is very well designed and controls are tight. You will love the fighting and want more at the end of the journey. Graphics and audio help create a world that’s not only highly styled but also interactive with the character. Samurai Way of the Warrior should get this game right away and relive the glorious sword slashing Samurai way of life again. For the uninitiated, run to the App Store now and get the game. You won’t want to turn back!"

Touch My Apps rated "Grab it!" - their highest award
The good: Universal game, Superb and stylish graphics, Easy to use controls, Fun and addictive non-stop action
The bad: A little too straightforward, leading you from battleground to battleground"

Yeah, I originally started playing this game on a 2nd Gen. iPod Touch and there was zero lag, so you're safe.
