iPhone missing a good Hockey game

I am really sad that there is no Ice Hockey game for iPhone. I know Hockey isnt as popular as football and baseball......but if any Devs are reading.....Hockey needs iPhone love too! Anyone know of any app I might be missing?

both hockey and basketball need a fair game. maybe ea sports will figure something out after tiger woods...

by the way: iphone 3g is not a gaming system, it's a platform.
iPhone OS (and number you have) is a system

i suppose...

backyard hockey, is sadly the closest thing. .

how did soccer get the only good sports game on the iphone?

c'mon gameloft, you have gone down since hero of sparta, release more sports games.

and a decent FPS game would also be nice

the reason there are none yet is input. the chances of these coming out bare greatly enhanced by the external controller with the dpad and buttons getting some hype this weekend.

but sales would be limited to those who have the controller...i would pick it up for a good hockey game.

edit: the controls work for soccer (RS 09), but hockey is a deeper game with more input needed for it to feel like we're immersed.

Ya basketball also......I figure if Gameloft can make a great soccer game, A hockey game should be easy.

Also, about my sig....it was kind of a sarcastic sig. since the OS and the model of course isnt a gaming system. Its a phone.....But as a Sony PSP and Nintendo DS owner......I was more blown away with the iPhone......so thats why I did that

I am not trying to hate on curling, but it is pretty surprising.

Well, the controls for RS 09 rely on more than just the two buttons. If you haven't played, you can tap a button and drag off for a different type of kick. You can tap or trace on the screen and the ball carrier will try different moves to get around defenders. I think this sort of stuff could translate well.

I think a game on par with EA's NHL 94 (with updated graphics) would be fantastic. That one was ported to the GBA as NHL 2002 - with only a couple of buttons for input - and gameplay certainly wasn't lacking.
