I dont know anything about that one (looks cool tho, I wish Machinarium would come to the iPad!) but have you tried the Broken Sword Series? Or the Monkey Island series? Or the 1112 series?

Broken sword is top quality, so is the sequel, but not for me. Loved both 1112 games though
also, it's worth playing beneath a steel sky even though it's not for iPad!
