GI Joyride vs. Monster Trucks Nitro

I vote for GI Joyride. It has much better framerate and accelerometer controls.

G.I. Joyride. It randomly generates tracks as opposed to 8 fixed tracks.

I just picked up GI Joyride since people seem to be doing an awful lot of comparing between the two and holy cow. Compared to GI Joyride, Monster Trucks Nitro looks like some 7th grade visual basic project.

The thing is though, everything that makes GI Joyride better, Monster Trucks Nitro could someday implement. Random track builder, all kinds of statistics, respectable framerate, etc.

Right now, GI Joyride is significantly better than MTN. I agree with Hodapp that MTN could be updated with those things, but I think the GI Joyride devs will also continue to update their game as well. The mechanics are just better in GI Joyride.

Yes, the 1.5 update is due soon for GI joyride.

but for MTN, I dont think they will do random thing like GI joyride because MTN is simply not this kind of game, I dont know if you tried the PC version?

what could be nice is Trials 2 :O could be amazing

I like Monster Trucks Nitro.....but GI Joyride has it beat by far. Graphics look so much better and the tracks are better / different.

GI Joyride, hands down. It could be even better if it had more game modes.

I haven't played Trucks but what makes GI Joyride compelling for me is the sense of cheeky parody throughout, even the name is funny, the music in menu's are slapstick and the description of what happens to your GI's when you die is comical too. As a game I find it to be very shallow but for the price what you get is an entertaining throw away experience, if Nitro isn't as good as this then I can't see it succeeding.
