From a coding perspective, is the Gamebone a standard that all joysticks and pads will use or a specific device with specific drivers?

I ask because I might well add support for "add on joypads" to a game while I'd be less likely to support a specific device.

I suspect that half the devs in this forum looked at the post and thought "If it catches on, maybe I will" while almost none are interested in an unknown device. I know it isn't unknown and is the biggest and most anticipated pad on iOS but it's unknown by the vast majority of potential customers.

^^^ What he said.

My next game will be released before that pad is available anyways. Futhermore, my game wouldn't be playable with it since it relies on touch screen controls.

In the long term, if enough people buy these controllers, and they are easy enough to support, then maybe. Then again, maybe not.
