1. originality
2. simple concept, with great execution

Reasonable price/value for money

Simple/good controls

Simple concept and well explained

Scratch originality, put uniqueness instead
I'd not agree with EyeCandy totally, We had Cartoon Wars & Rope n Fly up there in the chart, I'd agree for 2 reasons as no such games were up the chart very recently & Cut the Rope is surely eyecandy.

I'd say add simplicity & pick up n play games, Add Cuteness

-design fidelity...

If you'll kindly notice the iphone has no buttons and a gyroscope... dont design a game around buttons as inputs.

- character- if you notice angry birds and cut the rope(the frog) they both have character. Same for games like Mario.

Well, since it all depends what on what type of game, lets focus on things that all games need, hardcore or casual, original or not.
I agree with music, a definite must is good music, whatever game you are playing.
Achievements too.
A reasonable price of course.
And the controls, oh the controls. Without controls it would not be a game, it would be a movie.
