Radio Flare Free for this weekend

I'm one of the devs of Radio Flare. I just wanted to quickly announce that we're having a SALE right now. You can get Radio Flare for $0.99 in the App Store. The sale will last until we ship our update. We plan to do that next week. The update will bring some fabulous new features to Radio Flare like online Leaderboards, a new game mode, a tutorial, and ... "more elements that react to the beat of the music".

Also, we have Radio Flare on show here at the Game Developers Conference in the Expo hall. We were nominated for the Independent Games Festival Mobile "Audio Achievement" award. Drop by if you're at the GDC.

Just picked this up.
I'm curious about the new mode.
Any plans to add more bosses?

it's actually a neat little twist of the current gameplay. just a slight addition and everything is ... more spectacular.

we'll not have any more bosses, sorry. i'ld love to do that but other - more important - stuff always keeps me from getting to it. maybe we'll have that in the next update...

take advantage of the sale!

i started playing and i found level 1 so easy. i actually thought, "this is it? this is going to be boring since shooting targets doesn't require much skill (you have to slide over them and they get blown up)."

however, when i moved to level 2 (i'm currently stuck at level 3-4), it became challenging. the ships and missiles are coming fast, i wish i have three thumbs.

speaking of thumbs, i think some might have an issue with the controls coz your thumbs could get in the way. good thing the two that i have are small. how about offerring tilt control as an option for moving your ship instead of using your left thumb?

i like the sound effects, too. it really contributes to the adrenaline rush when i'm dodging and blowing up waves of ships and missiles.

Flare up!

Thanks for the terrific sale, Radio Flare is a unique and pleasantly cool. Congrats on the nod from IGF.

I enjoy games that break out of the usual m.o. so the 2D shooting to electronica rhythms feels more like a puzzler than the destructive feeling I get from Heavy Mach.

The lite version sold me.

To those on the fence, buy now!
