Hexile Update News From Developer

I emailed the developer's of the game Hexile because on the app store it states quite plainly that the game is due a big update and soon after launch it says.

Well, seeing that it was released in December, I wasn't sure what they meant by soon.

Here's what they had to say:

"Currently we are in the midst of two large projects. We do plan to revisit Hexile here in the next month or so to release an update.
Thanks for purchasing the game, we are glad you enjoyed it!"

Thanks,
FDG Development Team

So, anyone out there waiting for this update like me?

Looks like it won't be here anytime soon

lol don't hold your breath for it, if it hasn't happened yet, it means sales are probably down. therefore it would take a lot to get it back into a high selling app making an update worth while. they already have your money, just don't hold your breath.

It's maxed out the popularity bar on the U.K. app store.

Is that a sign that it's sold significantly? I see lots of decent games only half way etc.

No. A sign is how many reviews.. 31 in the US store. Free version only has 4.
Pocket God has 9584 reviews. Touchgrind has 9054.

Just an FYI.. the developer hasn't been online here in months..

Well they're still selling it with the promise of updates. Do we as consumers have any rights for our money back then, if they don't fulfil on their, i'm not sure if 'obligation' is the right word to use but you know what I mean.

Best course of action might be to leave a review warning potential new buyers about the lack of promised updates. I find such reviews to be helpful at times when making a buying decision. If others follow suit, it MAY persuade the developer to follow through as promised or more timely if they think future sales (however paltry) will suffer.

(disclosure: I've had the game since launch, as well)

Will do that for the U.K. store. Anyone got the game from the U.S. store and want to do the same?
