I guess you can now return games....

Good for consumers, bad for developers?

Apparently, if iPhone users decide that they want a refund for an app (users can get a refund within 90 days, according to Apple policy), Apple requires that developers give back the money they received from the sale. But here’s the kicker—Apple will refund the full amount to the user and says that it has the right to keep its commission.

I know there is a discussion in the developer forums, but this is for the game forums.

I would like to know if people would actually return a game?
Would you guys ever return a game, knowing it would hurt the dev?

i'm still not 100% convinced until i hear it from the man. 90 days sounds crazy. In ninety days I can complete rolando 13 times and return it. something isn't right.

Yeah, this won't be nice, specially that devs pay 30% each time from their pockets.

Playing to Zenonia, NFS:Undercover, Sims 3, NY Nigths, Clue on iPod Touch 2G.
Waiting for C&C:Red Alert, Real Racing, Wolf RPG, Hybrid, Dexter.
iPhone OS 3.0 should have been the 1.0!

Google does 24 hours for Android Apps, and that seems fair.

Our better titles see 33% returns, some devs see as high as 90%.

A late game is only late until it ships. A bad game is bad until the end of time.
