To have both Starbase Orion and Warm Gun, the two titles I've been looking forward to the most in my history as an iOS user, release on the same night... I'm glad iOS 5 is another day away, so that I can download and play with impunity tonight

And now that a game with the Cloud backup system is out, I might finally get an answer to a question that has been burning its way through my mind for a few months now

: if we delete an app from our device, is there a way to retain the backup files in the Cloud, so that we might continue to play/work were we left off once we install that app again?

(This might sound like a silly question, but in the beta, Cloud save files were actually deleted as soon as the app was deleted from the device, making iCloud backup only usable for the purpose of synching files across devices, not for retaining app-specific data.)

Oh, this looks interesting, to say the least. Unless it gets some terrible feedback (but seriously, how could "an old-school 4X space strategy game" get terrible feedback?), I should be picking it up when it hits the Canadian store.

Looking forward to reactions, if anybody will be playing this before me.

I'm curious about it, any game that cites Master of Orion as an inspiration immediately gets my attention.

I'm loving the new cloudsync features being brought in with this weeks games. I assume this is IOS 5 only? Hoping to see some impressions before I lay down $6 on it though.

On a side note, I hope the developers do well because it's good to see more single player strategy games that AREN'T freemium time-sink, tap fests disguised as games!
