Also a beta tester for InfinityField....
To start with I always liked AbstractWar 2 for the iPhone before hearing about InfinityField or becoming a beta tester. I had listed it in my sig for quite some time before that so I was excited to be on the beta team. Out of all the games I play I always come back to 3 games that I play on a regular basis now. InfinityField, Galcon Fusion, and Jet Car Stunts. I literally have 6000+ apps in my itunes library most of those being full games and yet I always come back to these 3 games. The previous review seemed to sum things up nicely but for me what makes InfinityField better than all the other dual stick shooters is... - multitude of perspectives which help to be able to see the whole playing field and yet still be zoomed in a little - many control options to suit the player. Even one that might be unique to InfinityField called dynamic which works different than floating in that it will reposition the joystick as you go further than the max limit without lifting your finger. I actually find it works better for me than even static mode which I was very surprised at. I have always been a static virtual joystick player. - a lot of powerups many of which are unique to InfinityField for this type of game. I like the laser weapon the best .- multiplier that goes to half of what you had when you die compared to loosing all the multiplier like other DS shooter games - A lot of playing modes to keep me interested - A mode for those that like campaigns - Neon graphics are top notch and very professional - I want to mention control again because it is rock solid and worth a second mention. - frames per second never dips that I have seen. Rock solid animation. I will certainly be buying this. I won't accept a promo code for beta testing it. It is too good to not reward the developer. Thanks manucorporat for developing this awesome game! Last edited by xStatiCa; 01-26-2011 at 05:02 PM.. Reason: rephrase the meaning of dynamic controls |

From what I understand from the developer it is only ipad with a mac app store coming as well.
I hope this does really well because AbstractWars was fantastic. |

Super hyper mega awesome reviews! uff
![]() thanks folks. Please, a round of applause to testers. They didn't only find bugs, but also contributed giving ideas, balancing the difficulty and sending feedbacks about each topic (controls, gameplay, difficulty, campaign mode, options etc.) Thank you guys!! ataloss, xStatiCa, LordGek, pluto6 (and his son) FPE, Hmar9333 and John Sterbonic. |

I had access to beta and what can I say... Tons of game modes, console-like graphics (seriously, I have not seen a better looking game with that style), absolutely fluid animation...
I've known manu for over a year as we both develop in the same engine and he keeps amazing me

Lol, I'm staying awake to download this... I'm really tired too... Can't wait to try it.
Btw @ mikesz: will you give light wars a universal update in the future? I've been hoping that and critical wave will get a bit of iPad lovin' at some point. |
