X3000 HD - the best fly shooting game by BluSped

In the 3000 year, face to the alien invasion, x3000 fighters started the fight with the alien enemy. Has speed, power and confidence, you are the winner at last.
This is a perfect horizontal fly shooting game, you can select the fly direction to left or right by your hobby, double tap the screen to release bomb. good luck and do the best.

Very Nice

Tested the lite version and really liked the game but I bet its even better on the iPad. I will be picking up the iPad version later tonight once I get some iTunes $.

not bad.

fun little shooter, not the most amazing thing I've ever seen, but fairly high quality for a very indie sidescrolling shmup.

PROS:
selectable difficulty, on EASY I managed to build up some quite impressive firepower in rather short order. I was shooting RAIDEN-style after only a few powerups. :-) Definitely a plus. Powered up, you're pretty much filling the screen with missiles and bullets... glorious.

also, the artwork is slick indeed - and there are LOTS of sprites onscreen when this thing gets rolling proper.

CONS:
touch controls are okay (didn't try accelerometer or the simulated d-pad), but this game NEEEEEDS a "relative touch" option; the only way to control by touch is *directly touching* your ship, thus obscuring it.
the game would be 1000% better if this simple option were added.

levels drone on too long; halving the length of the levels would be perfect.

more variety in the levels would be nice, but at less than 20 megs and $1.99, I know this may be too much to ask.

In all, I don't feel I wasted money, and I'll definitely come back to play this thing quite a few times. A very good first shooter from this indie dev on the iPad, and with a couple tweaks this thing could be great!

"This is a perfect horizontal fly shooting game" - Sorry, it's not. Without relative touch control it is not much fun to play. You have three options:

1) Completely obscure your ship and much of the left side of the screen with your hand
2) Jerky, erratic virtual pad
3) Jerky, erratic accelerometer

Control issues aside, this is a fairly pretty looking generic shooter. There's not much else to add.

Study the control method(s) used in the iPhone port of R-Type to appreciate how good relative touch control can be for this game format.

The moment I realized that my finger was always on the ship I stopped playing.
Sorry.

Relative touch has been added

Thanks all of friends suggestions very much, the "relative touch" control type has been added in the new version, and improved others. the new version will be released as soon as fast.

awesome! And nothing is better than a dev who reads the forums and is willing to improve their product. And thanks for releasing this, btw, this is a great little slick shooter that appeared out of nowhere! Always nice to see indie devs release slick-looking shmups. :-)

Picked the game up and I will wait for the update before playing more...I do like it but I do agree the controls need a little bit of work. Great game for small Dev.
