Game Impressions

Nice little game - first tried the lite version and then bought the full version (not the HD one) because I like the artwork

Your task is quite basic stuff - ensure that every train reaches it's goal by stopping trains which might collide with your train... the best thing are the handdrawn graphics which makes this game unique to me

I tried the lite version, and while I enjoyed the gameplay and the way the game's put together, I won't be getting the full. Why? Because what this app is most useful for is illustrating exactly why you cannot just design a game for the iPad and simply port it over to the (much) smaller screen. Put a little effort in please developers, or just don't bother. The "99c version because we know it's inferior" route doesn't cut it either.

I have the Ipad version and i like it so i thought i would see what the lite version was like on my ipod and too me its the same game just smaller obviously . The price difference aint because the 99c version is inferior its because the developers have took the time to make a retina/HD version and a non Retina. So the ppl without Retina screens are not paying for something they cant use.

The text is barely legible on the iPhone, it's so minuscule. Both in game and menu. It's obvious zero thought has been put into user experience on that front. Far worse though, the "dot" that you must tap to change the tracks and start/stop the trains is so tiny that it is frequently missed, particularly when under pressure, which obviously severely impacts the main (actually the only) gameplay mechanic.

Bought it

I bought it today, to be honest it's a little boring, but the drawings are amazing... Anyway I think it deserves to be bought.

Thanks for your opinion!

We are working on an update which will improve the menu readability and the gameplay experience in the iphone version. Update will be available soon!

Though it's not easy to make Paper Train really playable on a tiny screen, we're working on optimizing the gaming experience for the Iphone and we will add new levels too.
