Dear space monkey lovers,
After a few setbacks with Apple's approval process, we've finally made it though and the first update is available for download. It took us a long time, but there's lots of new stuff to be found. The Retina gfx are a given, but the game also contains an all new Story Mode, featuring 30 new level who have been tested on new groups of gamers. Feedback showed that the old ones where just too hard for lots of people. The old levels (all 50 of them) are now to be found in the Master Levels option. Next to that there's new in-app purchases of a shielded ship, a faster ship and a level skip. And highscore athletes need not worry, they use more fuel so the basic ship is still the road to the highest Open Feint scores. We tried hard to make it run on 3G, but HD graphics, lots of frames and moving stuff and continuous soundtrack made that impossible. TO FINISH OFF: TOMORROW WE'RE HOSTING A FREE GAME OF THE DAY PROMOTION, SO IF YOU WANT THE FULL GAME FOR FREE, SATURDAY WOULD BE THE DAY TO VISIT THE APP STORE. Spread the word! (and join us on Facebook, because there's more cool stuff coming... No really, you'll see) |

Thanks for the update. The game looks amazing. I love the story! It has "Planet of the apes" air about it. Very cool! The ship looks much better as well.
I did experience jerky movements of the ship and the enemies though at some points. I'll try to restart my iPod touch and play some more. Will let you know. Game is definitely worth the money. Good luck guys! |

Ha, we even got inspiration for the space pod and some of the comic design from Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes :-)
If you've for iOS gamers among your Facebook friends or as Twitter followers, feel free to take some time out tomorrow and let them know that we're doing a Free Game of the Day promotion with Open Feint and Daily App Dream. We're looking to broaden brand awareness as much as possible over the weekend. So the more free downloads, the better. |

Anyone else having a problem downloading 1.1 through iTunes? I click on Check for available updates and 6th Planet 1.1 shows up, but every time I download the update, it downloads 1.0 (tried it twice so far).
I guess I'll try again later. |

iTunes is telling me the product is being modified and to try again later. It's telling me this on a few other games, too, and has been for a few hours now.

Hey guys, we're checking this, but can't find anything wrong from our side. Downloading or uploading it directly on a device seems to work fine though.
Maybe this is because we've only releases it 8 hours ago, and it hasn't spread to all apple servers. Oh, to finish off, our Facebook page has the first screen of our second game. Feel free to head over there and check it out. |

We had the Open Feint guys check their servers too (we use their new in-app tech), but everything seems to be working fine. Probably because it was only available a few hours?
