Game Impressions

Got a promo code to review this:

Lost Paddle is an interesting reflex game. Sort of like a single player Pong.
A closer comparison would be along the lines of Bit.Trip Beat.

Gameplay: Follow a simple and abstract story about a pong paddle and his search for greater meaning. Reflect back a steadily increasing steam of balls, with the occasional boss battle changing things up a bit.
Bosses do border on the extremely long and tedious side though. There's also a lack of instruction on how to beat them. I also experienced a game crash when I gave up and suicided on one.

Graphics: Clean, but a little boring. Not much more then big pixels and a gradient background. I would've hoped things livened up a bit, like the boss' laser attack, which is the most visually interesting part of the game.

Sound: Good chiptune music, with accompanying sound effects.

Content: The basic story with bosses mixed in, or you can play the Practice mode for endless leaderboards play.

Conclusion: 3/5. A decent paddle game, with overly long bosses, that's only really missing a distinct visual flair.

Absolutely loving this. No-brainer purchase for anyone who loves Bit.Trip Beat.

I tried to leave a review only to be met with the oft received "You must own this product" message. I'll try again in the morning

Threw up some more promo codes in my other thread in the promo codes section. Get em while they're super hot.

And StriveMind managed to get an impressive practice score of 202% recorded on OpenFeint. Can anyone beat that!?
