should i wait to jailbreak after the OS 3 update?

ive been on the fence about jailbreaking for awhile but i've decided to go ahead and do it. the thing im wondering though is if i should wait untill after OS 3 is released (and then jailbroken) before i break my iphone. reason being, some of the new features are appealing to me and id rather not have to break it again after updating it. but are some or most of the new features already available to jailbroken users? in that case, is the OS 3 upgrade forgoable?

Landscape typing with SMS is available. It's kinda like a whole new app, but it works. I think you probably should wait because you probably have to restore your phone again with the new 3.0 custom firmware once it comes out. I'm not sure how long it will take for the team to jailbreak the firmware again but yeah. Go ahead if you want to because jailbreaking is wonderful.
