Baseball Superstars 09 version 2.0 has just been released.

This includes

-Major graphical updates
-Outfielders shown during batting
-Day and night.

Impressions:

Jeez, the graphics are very HD-like. Crisp.

Day and night is cool,

new angle is much better.

Woot! I absolutely love this game. Right now in season mode and 2-4 (ughh I know). Thanks for the heads up I should be downloading this sooner or later.

It takes a little getting used to. The higher-res graphics certainly look nice, I could see how some may find it harder to read and harder to estimate the strike zone since it's visually smaller. It'll take some practice. I find the scoreboard graphics in the homerun derby practically unreadable. One thing I still can't understand, after all of these updates, they still haven't made a fix to let you read the tips when you go to play a game.

The CocaCola ads are totally new and it's not even subtle. There are 3 of them crammed into the frame on my little iPhone screen. It's kind of funny but I am going to keep a copy of the previous version in my iTunes folder so I can go back.

The hi-res is much appreciated. Has anyone noticed that their batting average has gone through the roof though? I was batting about .232 and suddenly I'm batting like .800! The outfield has gone from godly down to average. They used to catch literally almost everything I would hit out there and I could never hit grounders through the infield but now I'm doing that a lot. I also notice that a lot of hits that would usually be foul balls are now landing just on the line or whatever.

Also has anyone ever been able to actually steal a base? I've never seen it happen.

with this new update when batting is it easier to get on base? In other words is the opponents fielding as good as before?
