First of, we got the release date for campaign 2; it'll hit Wednesday, October 26th. Up until then the first campaign will be only $2.99... So better get it before we change our minds, hehe.
Trust me: many of us appreciate the fact that you didn't follow the .99 death spiral with TS:UR. That said, a sale before the release of the second campaign makes total sense; 2.99 is a great deal for this hidden gem.

I've had my eye on this game for a while due to good reviews. TBS games aren't really my thing. Anything in this one likely to make me a convert?

This is less of a TBS and more of a turn-based survival RPG. If you can put up with the slower pace, the game is filled with tense moments that can be very engaging. At the risk of overselling it, TS:UR is one of the few games I've played recently on any platform that treats zombies as more than just AI-free cannon fodder.

Care to comment on the pricing of campaign 2 now? How about a content details/teaser?

Price will be same as the base game, $4.99.
There's about as much content in the new campaign as there was in the first one (although it's a lot more challenging, so might take you a while longer to finish )

The story takes place just after the events of the first campaign, the team heads out outside the base on the trails of an escaping villain... (don't want to spoil it too much).

Looks great. I am wondering if you've made any changes to core gameplay with this update. I believe there have been several calls for the ability to carry more than one weapon, even if it's just a melee one in addition to the standard ranged one. I know that the game is pretty tightly balanced as is, but I for one would find it a tad less frustrating to carry a "weapon of last resort."

There hasn't been any major changes to the core rules I'm afraid. (if there would have been, it would have taken even longer to get it done, and we figured you've waited long enough, eehm. )

There HAS been some changes to gameplay though, but on a different level. There's much more intricate missions in campaign 2 requiring you to do things like protect civilians and escort people to certain places, etc. The new bosses also carry a few surprise moves that will require some new strategies to beat.

Hey, I'm happy with the new content (and objectives), and I know that gameplay changes would require a ton of testing to make sure they don't mess the overall balance. Perhaps you could consider that change in a future update. Carrying a melee weapon always seemed like a cool option, but not at the expense of losing a ranged weapon.
