TrapIt - By Little Geek

Hi everyone, I'm Aaron from Little Geek and we're happy to announce the release of our first title for iOS - TrapIt.

TrapIt is a casual-arcade title where your goal is simple; isolate all the speeding prisms before your time runs out in order to advance to the next level. By splitting unfilled areas in two with a swipe, you can separate prisms from each other or fill in areas of the level. However, if you progress too slowly, new prisms will spawn. The more area you have filled by the time you complete the level, the more points you get.

That's the core mechanic, but how you play is up to you. Should you finish the level easily, or try and fill more area for more points - taking the risk of losing a life? Should you try a difficult split to get that powerup you see lying there or keep it safe? Colour bonuses also provide extra challenge - isolate 2 or more prisms of the same colour into the same area for valuable extra bonus points.

TrapIt has that old-school arcade relentlessness and mastering it is all about staying calm.

* Fast paced old-school arcade action; you never get a chance to rest
* Simple to pickup and play. Just swipe horizontally or vertically
* Numerous powerups provide extra abilities and bonuses
* OpenFeint achievements and leaderboards
* Instant save. If you have to quit in a hurry your game will restart at the level you left off
* Local highscore table for offline play
* Listen to your own music while you play

Woohoo! Congrats, Aaron

Flightless did the design for TrapIt and we're happy to see it released! It's a great little arcade game that provides relentless fun and frustration along with a great soundtrack, just as an arcade game should

Check it out on the App Store and Little Geek sites posted above by Aaron.

Just wanted to bump this a little to let you all know that we have received a couple of stellar reviews. One from iphonewzealand.co.nz gratefully stating "..dare I compare it to the almighty Doodle Jump? Heck yes – it’s a lot more fun!"

Hi everyone. TrapIt v 1.1 has hit the iTunes Store and it now has the much requested Game Center support. Also:

* Added new achievement "Trapit Veteran" for reaching level 15.
* Vibration added for devices that support it.
* TrapIt will pause and prompt for resume if you switch back to it on iOS versions that support multitasking.
* Added custom achievement notifications.
* New background added.
* TrapIt will log you into the leaderboards automatically.
* Instructions updated with an overview screen.
* Fixed bug where one achievement wasn’t being awarded correctly.
