Many improvements were made since the first game (Medieval Heroes) release.
And we hope you'll enjoy it!

(I just can't play a game without retina support anymore, it looks so horrible on retina display devices...).

A bit disappointed that this new sequel has less maps than the original (Medieval Heroes). Also, I don't see many improvements (everything looks the same in terms of graphics). What else is different, besides the the ability to set tax rates?

Hi Markus!
First, I'd like to say that screenshots are not fully reflects changes in gameplay.
Most changes were made in AI. Computer players are now more unpredictable.
Game constants (like units/buildings prices, buildings effects) were updated in order to improve gameplay.
Maps graphics was also improved - maps are not so 'flat' now.

I think there are more minor changes, which I can't remember right now

Regards,
Dmitriy

@adamphetamine: we have a lot of fans of Medieval Heroes game, and I think it is hard to make a right decision by only watching screenshots. No offence
