This is a really fun game and the physics are surprisingly good. It's easy to pick up and play but still difficult enough to keep it challenging. Much more sim-y than I expected, which is a good thing.
![]() Update ideas: Ability to change cockpit hud color between green or red. Maybe a bit looser physics in simulation mode. A slider option for throttle rather than arrows. Auto-hover in Flir mode. (might already do it) |

It is fine. I am not too wild about swinging an iPad around for games.
According to the review, it seems fine. I think the throttle should be a slider rather than arrows. And free cockpit view is a problem for I think that is more like a bitmap to me. Seriously, no hellfire?! |

I'm slightly disappointed by this app. It shows a lot of promise, but it lacks some important features.
There's no navigation system, so you just have to look around and hope you're flying in the right direction. You really should be able to direct the gun separately from the angle of the chopper. It's impossble to aim downwards without tilting the chopper forwards so you end up flying straight over your target. There doesn't seem to be a targeting system. On mission 8, you're supposed to be protecting some guys from insurgents, but I don't know which is which. I agree with others that the throttle should be a slider. Also, it seems to automatically keep throttling down to around 50% so I'm having to constantly fight to keep up the power I want. The physics are quite nice and user friendly, but certainly not a true simulation in the vein of X-Plane. |

It was created by a one man team. I'm impressed that someone finally brought something like this for so cheap. Support this app and there will probably be updates. Besides laminar, who else is bringing flight sims?
Let him hear our gripes and over time he'll make adjustments. As for now, I'm loving the physics and framerate despite the random tearing. |

I played a few minutes and here are some suggestions: 1. A tutorial would be nice to familiarize the user with the controls. 2. Some graphics flicker when in FLIR mode 3. A navigation system would be helpful. 4. Hellfire missiles needed. Other than these minor issues, a fun and challenging game. Missions are varied (need to invest more time to give more detail) from what I have seen so far. I recommend to any flight sim fan! Sound is good and realistic. Controls are good, but a tutorial would be helpful. |

Agreed, it's very impressive for a one man team
I'm only disappointed because it's so close to being brilliant. Let's hope some updates come to address the point's we've raised here.

Now that I've played more of the combat missions I totally agree with the navigation. When the missions start it looks like there's green diamonds over the targets but those disappear once you take off, I'd like to see those stick around.
Maybe I'm not seeing it, but is there an on-screen message when the alarms are going off? Is it fuel? lock-on? low altitude? I haven't finished all the levels yet to open the airshow, so this may be answered then, but adding the ability to add a few hostiles in Free Fight would be really cool. |

I also think this is a really good simulator and would also like to see an interactive tutorial.
