iPACROSS is a puzzle game known by many other names, including Paint by Numbers, Logic Puzzle, Griddlers, Nonogrames or Picross. The game exploits concepts similar to Sudoku, but rather than focusing solely on numbers, iPARCOSS requires you to use logic and numeric hints to deduce the pixel art hidden in the game board. This simple yet highly addictive game will certainly become your next brain-teasing habit.

In addition to a ton of puzzles to play alone in single-player mode (400 puzzles with the latest update), iPACROSS also features an original 2 player game mode. In this fast-paced mode, you can use the puzzle resolving skills learned from single-player mode to compete with a friend. You and your friend will take the control of the game in turn. The player who reveals the most hidden pixels in the art wins. This innovative game mode takes what can be a very relaxing puzzle experience and make it totally manic! iPACROSS also has an exclusive puzzle library which is completely independent of the single-player library and contains more than 1000 puzzles! We invite you to try it for yourself, it's a great fun! For those challenge-seeking puzzle veterans, iPACROSS offers extra-large 25X25 puzzles that will certainly satisfy your appetite.

We are constantly improving our game and we're dedicated to making it the best logic puzzle game on Macintosh. Your support and feedback are always important to us. Your favourable review would also help to speed up the FREE UPDATEs!

iPACROSS features:
* 25 levels, 400 puzzles in total for single-player mode. That's 100+ hours of fun.

Does this offer an option to turn off timers and auto-correction? I hate both of those things, especially the auto-correction. Part of these puzzles is making mistakes and then *figuring out on your own* that you made a mistake and correcting it.

Also, are you going to add support for color picross puzzles or perhaps are they already in there? By this I'm referring to the variant of picross in which there are runs of colors, not just runs of blocks, and so you end up using different colors in different blocks and you end up with a color picture. These puzzles are more fun, IMHO, and of course it's nice that you have the addition of color to the pictures, not a transformation from a black-and-white puzzle to a color picture.

If you have that or plan to add that (including removing timers and auto-correct), you will have a sale!

crunc, the larger (Expert and Manic) puzzles don't have the autocorrection, and whilst they do have a timer it's very generous, unlike the smaller puzzles where it's really a rush to do them in time.

I have to agree with crunc that it would be nice to be able to turn off both of these features. What you consider very generous won't be considered so by some other people. This kind of game just doesn't seem to need to be timed as far as I'm concerned. Nonogram/paint by number/picross is one of my favorite form of puzzle games and that is what is holding this back from being among the best.

We noticed the different requirement from causal players and puzzle experts. That was why we created "arcade mode" and "free mode". "Arcade mode" is more casual-oriented. It is used in easy puzzles and with time penalty / auto-correction enabled. On the opposite, "free mode" is expert-oriented, it is activated in more challenging puzzles and we turned off both time penalty and auto-correction in this mode.

However, even you are only interested in playing the free mode, currently the game already contains 160 20x20 and 25x25 puzzles those are free mode exclusive in its single-player library. 32 more free mode puzzles are coming with another free update soon.

Please just grab the game when it's on sale. Trust me, you will never regret the $1.99 after you played this game

Question

Are these puzzles totally logic? It seems to me that when I've tried these types of puzzles before (not this program) that some puzzles can be worked out with no guesses, but others always came down to having to guess. Some I have played over several times just to see if I could solve it logically, but it always came to a point where I had no choice but to guess. I am by no means an expert, which is why I'm asking.
