Reaper animation videos and design

I thought I would share some more info on Reaper, I want to show a video of the title in about a month, but in the meantime I thought I'd share some videos of some of the animations, and some information on one the game's designs.








Here is some info on the summons in the game.

For each boss you defeat, you get a new summon. While summoning, all of the enemies will pause while you see an animation of what is going on. It will affect the entire screen. He can have one summon in use at a time. The player can go to the pause screen to select a different summon. Once the lower blue bar is filled up they can cast their summon. This uses up the entire summon(blue) bar. The bar can be filled up again by collecting souls.

Melee > Projectile > Air

Strong vs. Projectile. Weak vs. Air

Strong vs. Melee. Weak vs. Projectile.

Strong vs. Air. Weak vs. Melee

Also another bit of info on Reaper, there will be 6 summons in the game, and 8 bosses.

Apart from that it will be a universal app that will run on iPad and iPhone, and we are making sure it will run on iPhone 3g to iPhone4, of course iPhone4 will have retina display.

Thanks for the update, the enemy animations look great. Just to be clear, is this an action platformer with special summon moves or is this a turn based strategy game?

This looks great so far, Im very excited to see how it turns out. Im definitely keeping this game on my radar.

oh a action platformer, not a TBS

Death character from Reaper, details on her

Death was inspired by well a mix of heroin chic and those sexy kind of glamor models. Why that look?

Well Death was once beautiful and maybe the most attractive woman in that world, but after dealing with taking peoples lives since the beginning of time, she is very weak, and hardly has any energy left.
That is why she has mechanical arms and legs to help her move, she has no more energy.

The heroin chic drug addict look is because she has been doing this since the beginning and canít stop her duties her, itís something she has to do for all eternity. All she has to deal with is loss, and sadness, forever. That is why she is so bitter and nearly non caring about anyone elseís feelings.
Imaging having to live threw suicide, murders, illness everyday for eternity. It would make you numb and just completely feeling awful too.
Scoring/combos in Reaper

Score adds up depending on how man souls you collect and how many combos you make. Souls can be collected like Mario coins and add into the score. Health/summons can also be added to your score. The score system is used for leaderboards. Each level will have its own leaderboard.
Scoring will be small. Such as one soul equaling one point.

Game Center (iOS)
There will be a leaderboard for each level in Game Center. The combo score system is mainly for game center and leaderboards.

When you start a combo it will begin at just one hit. After youíve hit 10 times, the multiplier will go to 2X and then very 10 hits will increase the multipler by one. You need to hit an enemy before 3 seconds run out to continue the combos. So if the player does the time right, 20 hits = 3x, 30 hits = 4x.

In some parts of the levels, a barrier will appear on both sides of the screen and you have to defeat waves of enemies before it opens up. The player can do a lot of combos here. The playerís max combos in a level can be viewed in the level select screen.
