World of Goo [by 2D Boy] (v1.4 - Retina Display support)

Edit: Lot of questions are being asked again and again. So here's a temp FAQ..

Q1: Why are there two versions of the game? And which one should I get?


A: There is an iPad version which got updated today and now supports iPhone too, costs $4.99 currently. And there's this new iPhone version which costs 99cents (intro sale, regular price $2.99). If you dont have an iPad then you dont need to pay extra for iPad version and just grab the iPhone version for cheaper. If you do intend to play it on the iPad, iPhone both then grab the iPad version instead.

Q2: Retina display?
A: Both the Universal HD version and the iPhone Only version are supposed to support retina display but looks like there's a bug which is causing it to show non-retina graphics on iPhone,iPod 4. 2D Boy is looking into it and will update the game as soon as they figure out whats wrong.

Q3: Will it run on iPhone 3G?
A: World of goo requires iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G or newer device. Also remember, the 8 GB iPod touch 3G is NOT a 3G iPod touch so it wont install on that one either.

Q4: Whats the hype? is it any good?
A: Thats not a valid question. STFU and give your 99cents to 2D Boy already. Or on second thoughts, wait a couple of days. The sale will be over and you can pay 2D Boy thrice as much as you will today!!

Q5: OMG where did my post/s go??!?!??
A: This thread had too many repeat posts asking the same question / making the same comment over an over again. So I trimmed the thread down a little bit and moved 121 posts to the upcoming thread. All of the posts were given a fair chance before deciding if its worth keeping in the thread or not. (I flipped a coin to decide which posts stay!!)

Game is good so far. There are some crashes issue at the end of some levels, no multitasking and no Retina display support on iPod touch 4g. Kinda wish I had some transparent fingers to play the game more efficiently...

The gameplay is great, although it hasn't been optimised for the retina display which is a shame.
