App description: World of Goo is MetaCritic's highest ranked game OF ALL TIME, with a score of 98! Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years.

IMPORTANT: This is a big game, and requires an iPhone 3GS or newer or a 3rd gen iPod Touch or newer. It must be downloaded over a Wi-Fi connection.

Beautiful and surprising, the millions of Goo Balls who live in the World of Goo are curious to explore - but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious.

This is the FULL award winning game, now on iPhone and iPod Touch. Drag and drop living, squirming, talking, globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins, and giant tongues.

Mysterious Levels - Each level is strange and dangerously beautiful, introducing new puzzles, areas, and the creatures that live in them.

World of Goo Balls - Along the way, undiscovered new species of Goo Ball, each with unique abilities, come together to ooze through reluctant tales of discovery, love, conspiracy, beauty, electric power, and the third dimension.

The Sign Painter - Someone is watching you.

World of Goo Corporation - Congratulations! World of Goo Corporation is the Global Leader in Goo and Goo Related Product, including World of Goo Corporation Trademark Brand Soft Drink Beverage and World of Goo Corporation Trademark Brand Facial Exfoliating Lotion. Succulent!

Massive Online Competition - Human players around the world compete in a living leaderboard to build the tallest towers of goo in World of Goo Corporation's mysterious sandbox. World of Goo Corporation is contractually obligated to state that everyone is a winner and is enthusiastic to celebrate everyone's tower building opportunities equally.

Congratulations, and good luck!

ImNoSuperMan's comments:
Edit: Lot of questions are being asked again and again. So here's a temp FAQ..

Q1: Why are there two versions of the game? And which one should I get?

A: There is an iPad version which got updated today and now supports iPhone too, costs $4.99 currently. And there's this new iPhone version which costs 99cents (intro sale, regular price $2.99). If you dont have an iPad then you dont need to pay extra for iPad version and just grab the iPhone version for cheaper. If you do intend to play it on the iPad, iPhone both then grab the iPad version instead.

Q2: Retina display?
A: Both the Universal HD version and the iPhone Only version are supposed to support retina display but looks like there's a bug which is causing it to show non-retina graphics on iPhone,iPod 4. 2D Boy is looking into it and will update the game as soon as they figure out whats wrong.

Q3: Will it run on iPhone 3G?
A: World of goo requires iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G or newer device. Also remember, the 8 GB iPod touch 3G is NOT a 3G iPod touch so it wont install on that one either.

Q4: Whats the hype? is it any good?
A: Thats not a valid question. STFU and give your 99cents to 2D Boy already. Or on second thoughts, wait a couple of days. The sale will be over and you can pay 2D Boy thrice as much as you will today!!
Or maybe read TA's review of the iPad version and find out what exactly is WoG

Q5: OMG where did my post/s go??!?!??
A: This thread had too many repeat posts asking the same question / making the same comment over an over again. So I trimmed the thread down a little bit and moved 121 posts to the upcoming thread. All of the posts were given a fair chance before deciding if its worth keeping in the thread or not. (I flipped a coin to decide which posts stay!!)

Game is good so far. There are some crashes issue at the end of some levels, no multitasking and no Retina display support on iPod touch 4g. Kinda wish I had some transparent fingers to play the game more efficiently...

Does this still look good/function on an iPad?
I MIGHT get an iPad, so I don't know which version to pick up.
I don't have five dollars to spend, so I'll have to wait to get the iPad version.

The gameplay is great, although it hasn't been optimised for the retina display which is a shame.
