Game hacked by beta tester

I know it's expected to for your games to be hacked which is why I didn't even attempt to put any protection in it. But, to be hacked by one of my own testers is a bitter pill to swallow.

So whatever you do, do not use simonli2575 or any other variation of Simon Li as a tester. In fact, just to be safe don't use beta testers from China.

Sucks. Use this thread to find beta testers. It was a neat thread but not too many devs contribute there. Some of those testers arent even active anymore, but we can keep it updated if devs contribute there regularly.

Also, I'm stickying that thread now so its more visible.

Cool, I will do in future. I don't know if pirating games is a bannable offence but if it is you might want to ban that guy.

The most laughable bit about the whole thing is he waited until I'd given him a promocode. Even then was still contacting me via PM on this site offering to help test the iPad version. I can't believe the nerve of the kid.

I've got the guy's UDID. I might leave him a little message in the next version. ;-)

Here he is. Shouldn't he be banned by now?

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

I think the only reason he joined was to post in my development thread.

Its fine to warn people about one person, but it's not appropriate to suggest an entire country is at fault. I think you're going too far by suggesting people don't trust any Chinese people. I find that offensive.

You might find it offensive but I don't think I'm wrong suggesting that a large proportion of piracy comes from that region of the world.
