As a huge platform fan, I really fancy this, but with Superbrothers: S&S EP going universal on the same day, I think I'll have to hold fire for now.

Particularly with World of Goo HD and the aforementioned S:S&S existing iPad apps going universal, a combined £7.00 ($12.00) for both Elemental Rage apps looks like poor value.

I'll admit that I'm disappointed to deprive myself of having this on my iPhone, but I'll hold off all the same.

The dev said that the average play through time for the first time is about 4 hours. I've put a few hours into it and that looks accurate. He also said that there is an incentive to play through again (hopefully a different playable character?).

Speaking of Mr. Dev, can I make a few suggestions for the (hopefully in planning) sequel?

1)Secret breakable walls are fun! I keep jumping at random walls and attacking hoping I'll find one.

2) Outdoor environments and parallax scrolling are Metroidvania's friends.

3) Finding new, more powerful weapons and equipping them would be nice. Also adds to the variety.

4) Finding upgradeable armor and treasures and the next new piece of gear is addictive. See Mission Europa.

Easy, just get the one version for the device you want to play on! There's really no point in getting ER for both iPhone and iPad as you'd have to start from the beginning in each device, and I don't think you'd want to do that in a game like this...

Well, there are quite a few secret walls in this game! No so much breakable as pass-through...able Did you find any?

Thanks for all the other suggestions, too! If Elemental Rage does good, we'll definitely make another metroidvania (we love the genre!) incorporating such elements.

Thanks! Just let me say this game is quite different from Robot Wants Kitty. Although levels in RWK follow the same metroidvania formula, Elemental Rage is a much longer, story-driven game. (I love Robot Wants Kitty BTW!)

Well i've been following this game since it was announced. This is what i want, a classic platform game with lots of different levels/elements etc.
