Announcing Pizza Vs. Skeletons (Video added!)

Hi Everyone,
This is Jacob from Riverman Media, the creators of Cash Cow, Space Frak, IKAROS, and Deathfall. Today we released the very first image of our next game, Pizza Vs. Skeletons. I wanted to show it to TouchArcade readers before anyone else!

You can read a little bit about it here:

I know this is just a little taste, but we'd really appreciate your feedback!
Jacob

Care to elaborate on the gameplay? I appreciate the flare for visuals, many games lack that but without solid mechanics I'm not sure. Pizza Vs Skeletons is a ballsy, potentially brillant but risky, scheme.

Hi,
The gameplay is still evolving moment by moment, but I'll do the best I can!
  • We are challenging ourselves to make a game with a character that looks and feels gigantic.
  • What does it mean to feel gigantic? Gameplay is based on a wide variety of scenarios that are fun when you are BIG. Such as: Crushing things, sumo wrestling, rolling downhill, etc.
  • Levels will switch back and forth between these game mechanics, but the controls will remain the same: Rolling, jumping, and using special toppings.
  • Our aim is to create enough interesting scenarios within these parameters so that the game never feels repetitive.
  • One of our biggest challenges has been the camera. When you are so large, you can really only look in one direction at once. We've had to put a lot more intelligence in the control of the camera than in a standard 2D game.

I will keep posting here when we have updates. Now that the cat's out of the bag, I plan to keep info coming at regular intervals.
