App description: THE ONLY TRUE 3D ARKANOID/BREAKOUT GAME IN THE APP STORE

Block Rockin'... a physics-controlled game of 3D block-smashing fun.

It's an exciting and unique cross between pinball and brickout/arkanoid, except with full 3D physics. The ball climbs ramps, jumps through firey hoops, collects power-ups and smashes obstacles out of the way.

Features 20 challenging levels in 5 themes, 12 unique power-ups, user profiles, high score tables integrated with Open Feint, and a block rockin' soundtrack!

The game is controlled entirely using your phone's tilt sensors. Hit the blocks with your ball to smash them off the table!

--------------------------

We are working to resolve a bug that causes the game to crash on iOS5 if your phone has Location Services disabled. Please re-enable Location Services until the next patch for Block Rockin - sorry for any inconvenience.

croga's comments:
Hi, I'm the developer of Block Rockin': the uniquely physics-driven 3D Arkanoid-style bat-and-ball block-smashing game. Control your bat's movement around a circular platform using your phone's tilt sensors - no need for your fingers to clutter up the screen while you're playing.

Featuring 20 unique hand-crafted levels in five different themed tournaments, 12 unique power-ups, and high score tables so you can challenge your friends and family.

Version 1.0.1 has removed the need to unlock levels before you can use them -- some players were finding it frustrating to have to successfully play their way thru a tournament to get at the individual levels

Very disappointed.

Retina is over a year old and this game doesn't have it.

Not even a retina icon?

The menus look poor as well.

I love the concept, and am a fan of variable themes, but not happy with the execution.

Non retina graphics and icons look bad on retina displays.

I don't really care about retina display or not... and couldn't care less about icons...

Any thoughts on the gameplay?

Heh, strange you should mention this, just yesterday I uploaded a new build which provides high-resolution for hardware that can handle it, it should be live in about a week. And yes, it does look much nicer to have smooth rather than pixellated game objects.

hmmm... pretty nice so far.

You tilt your device to move the platform that the ball bounces off of while breaking blocks and collecting gems that fall when some blocks are broke. The graphics are nice... I really like the sound you have for the platform moving around the circle. The controls are very responsive and acurate. The level design is really what makes the game shine. 20 levels, each more challenging, and more fun... it's a great brick breaker game with great physics! Recommended if you're into brick breakers, but want something new added to the genre!

Thank you again for the code...

oh yeah... ^^^ is my review from the US AppStore.
