wished they had better fighting animations though rather than just jumping up and down.

I've been playing Pitman for about an hour or two, have died twice already and am now on my third run. So far I've learned a few things and find the game good fun. There is a Fargoal vibe going on here. While the game offers a choice music (Random, Track 1, Track 2, Track 3, or None) unfortunately there are no sound effects at present... which is a certainly a pity, as I think a good sound design would improve the atmosphere immensely.

From the dev's website I gather that the basics of the game were created at a 7 day rogue-like challenge that took place just 6 weeks ago (beginning of March) so they have accomplished a lot in a very short period of time.

Let's hope they continue to work on it.

So are there any records kept at all?

I don't think so, nor did I actually see anything like a score in-game.

None that I've seen during my time with the game. But it does have 6 save slots and a load button...

I think they'll definately continue working on this title.
It has too much potenrial to be left alone and unfinished.
It's like a rough diamond... you already see a bit of the beauty, but it has to be cut and polished in its true form.
Nonetheless, the amazing part is indeed what these devs created in just 6 weeks - amazing! *looks over to Commander Data, smiles and raises an eyebrow*

I'll invite them to this thread!

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

Wow, it is a team of two devs, Jana and Friedrich, and these two are even German!

Great Vovin thank you! (You have of course noticed that they are countrymen of yours...)

Having played Pitman a bit more I entirely agree with you. There is enormous potential here -- for example in the manipulation of the 'card sections' which comprise the the 3D 'game board'. Having laid down my default quota of cards (and eating everything I could find on them) I just used one of the runes to destroy a card in order to draw a new one...

Very nice.

That's where the huge strategic potential comes in... I noticed it, too.

I'm definitely interested, but I will wait to see if the devs will pop in and let us know what their future plans are, i.e. if they will do any post-release updates, etc.

No sound effects and no end-game scores are keeping me back, for the moment. Let's see where this goes.

Favorites: Siralim | Cavern | Dungeonism | Avadon | Warhammer: Quest | Endless Depths | Tallowmere
Now Playing: Tallowmere | Sproggiwood | Alchemic Dungeons | Runespell Overture
