App description: World's largest 3D mobile environment ever created. Virtual New York allows you to explore a to-scale replica of New York City and play mini-games in first-person perspective.

An iPad 2 is recommended, but the app will run on iPhone 4 and iPad.

Naxera's comments:

  • My app is more like an app with games in it, than a game itself.
  • This is going to be like my work in progress thread, since the app will never be finished (at least until its better than visiting the real New York)
  • Please feel free to give me suggestions in this thread!

Note that it does not run this fast on an actual device

I've seen thread of this game before and got it on my device, though not that interesting.
It's just like a map guide of NYC.

A minor update (1.0.3) is available today, which adds some buildings to the skyline and fixes the interior lighting.

For the next version (should be released in a week or two) I'm thinking of expanding one of the three minigames and adding a new one (among other things). Tell me which is the best, or any ideas you may have!

mm its a nice idea but.. its sortof misleading... you dont get to actually go around new york do you :P? plus i think i saw the twin towers. i feel like the app would be better as a game where you get to wander around an apartment and do minigames >_>

So can we get a definitive answer, do you actually get to explore the virtual streets of new york or are you just stuck in that apartment and can only stare at the city from a distance and play lame minigames?

Currently you can wander around a few rooftops, but I'm adding streets soon.

This picture might help:
