Best 2D (Scrolling?) Shooters

The rumours of a port of Tyrian have kickstarted my craving for a good scrolling shooter (or variant). I've been searching the forums and come up with the following options:

Abigale
Blue Skies (Lite)
Dragon Force Light
Galaga Remix (Lite)
Hotfield
iFighter Lite
Platypus
Radio Flare (Lite)
rRootage
Sentry Alpha
SkyFighter (Lite)
Sky Force Reloaded (Lite)
Sky Thunder (Lite)
Space Deadbeef
Space X (Free)

I know these games don't compare in the strictest sense. Some of them are vertical, some are horizontal, some don't scroll at all... But they all involved blowing stuff up.

My question to those that own more than one of these games...

Which was the most fun?

The older thread on the same topic is here

EDIT: I should probably add, I already own Radio Flare, Space Deadbeef, and SpaceX, and have the light versions of iFighter, Galaga and Sky Force.

Wishlist: Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Swords & Soldiers, Tyrian
Playing: Kryzer Prologue, Flight Control, Knights Onrush

Thats because the OP of this thread bumped that thread. Not commenting on if there should be a new thread Im not a mod, this thread has a poll so guess its different enough with that.

SkyForce is a pretty nice game but I havent really played alot of the other games yet Hotfield is really only other one I played its pretty good too. I really wouldnt put Galaga in this group either.

It's not a duplicate... There have been several releases since that thread was started and I'm asking a different question. It's not important to me exactly what type of game it is (hence the inclusion of Galaga) but whether or not these games are actually fun.

@robot - thanks for your Hotfield recommendation, I wasn't seriously considering it due to fears of bullet-hell - does the turning-bullets-into-powerups feature work well?

Wishlist: Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Swords & Soldiers, Tyrian
Playing: Kryzer Prologue, Flight Control, Knights Onrush

Abigale looks great but the gameplay sucks.

Sentry Alpha hands down is the best 2D tilt shooter you can buy. The controls are responsive and you're not limited by the screen in front of you. In fact, the screen shifts left and right to reveal more.

Graphicswise, Platypus is all claymation which is cool to look at. Abigale has fun graphics too, but is repetitive in terms of gameplay.

Voted Radio Flare because I love how the music integrated with the gameplay.

I am thinking about making the jump for Hotfield...

Hotfield is great, especially with the update.
