CultOfMac.com Review - Tuned is an innovative new game for the iPhone that offers music lovers an endless number of entertaining music quizzes from just about every genre there is. The unique thing about this game is that it takes its music from the song previews in the iTunes stores top charts, so even if you dont have a single track of your own stored on your device, you can still enjoy the quizzes....one of the best music games Ive played on an iOS device. Theres hours of fun to be had with the free version, and if you can afford the $0.99, the extras are well worth it. Its highly polished, works incredibly well, and for music quiz fans no other title comes close. - Killian Bell

148apps.com Review "EXCEPTIONAL - 4.5 STARS - Tuned does to music trivia games what the likes of Scene It? has done for movie trivia. Its compelling, attractive to look at and fantastic fun to play...Tuned is a truly accomplished title. Its quite clearly the best Music Trivia game on the app store yet managing to be both enjoyable alone and with friends." - Jennifer Allen

iLounge.com - "Tuned turns top iTunes songs into music trivia game" - Jesse Hollington

CrazyMikesApps.com - "Tuned is the equivalent of trivial pursuit for music and is a great music trivia game to get a party started" - Michael Vallez

Hi Everyone, I am the developer of Tuned.

We have released a new iOS game that challenges users to identify songs based on song previews from the iTunes Store’s Top 50 Hits. Users are presented with the iTunes song previews and are given a set of multiple-choice options to attempt to identify each song artist within a set time limit. Points are earned for correct answers with more points for answering faster and additional multipliers for consecutive correct answers. Game Center and Facebook integration allow players to challenge their friends and try to earn achievements and since the app is based on popular music from the iTunes Store the songs and questions change automatically on a daily basis. The basic version of Tuned is a free, iAd supported app that allows users to simply play the Top 50 Hits in single-player mode; a $1 in-app purchase unlocks additional game modes including two-player games, Top 100, Top 300 and all All Genres as well as removing iAds. Tuned requires a 3G or Wi-Fi connection and is available from the App Store as a free download.

If you load freetuned.com on your iPhone it will go directly to AppStore download, or visit our website at http://www.tunedapp.com.

Very clever idea. Are you getting a part of the revenue for any songs purchased (iTunes Affiliate Income)? Just curious.

A late game is only late until it ships. A bad game is bad until the end of time.

Great App. Some suggestions.

1. Provide an option to 'tag' a song for later review/purchase. I may not want to exit a really good game.

2. It would be nice if you had multiplayer over the net (GameCenter).

3. Challenging friends and having a leaderboard style of competition would also be cool. You could play the same 'game' and see if you could beat them.

Anyway ...

I scored 59,104 points and got 40/50 correct playing the Rock genre! 15 correct in a row.

Thanks for the input PlayScreen. I've been thinking of adding iMix into the game. That is a feature where Apple lets you mix-match songs into a playlist and buy them later. Apparently you have to apply to Apple and get some special iTunes codes.

Multiplayer over the net would be great!

For #3, if you login to Facebook you do get a competition style leaderboard that shows your high score and # correct in a row. I wonder if I should make that more obvious somehow that it is a Facebook leaderboard. Great input!

I don't think the Web iMix (http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliat...-web-imix.html) works inside iOS. I think it's restricted to web, which sucks. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
