Looks a little bit like My Kingdom for a Princess 1 & 2. Has anybody played this yet? I really like Kingdom, so I'll be waiting to hear how this compares.

Looks indeed like My Kingdom for a Princess 1 & 2. which I love playing.
2 is even better.

This game looks the same, but with less levels it seems.. so not sure

While Island Tribe seems quite similar to My Kingdom for the Princess superficially, the core of the game is entirely different. The main objective not to build a road, but rather to recreate totems, collect certain ingredients, or pick up special items.

Is the game timed, like the Princess games? I really didn't like that aspect of it...

It is timed, but like Royal Envoy and My Kingdom for the Princess, you can finish a level even if you run out of time (you just don't earn gold).

I have not purchased this game, so I can't give an opinion (I'm still slogging my way through Royal Envoy).

Its similar to royal envoy, its timed but only for score bonus, not as polished as royal envoy but worth the price.

Down to $1.99 now. I'll bite at this price.
