Programming on the Apple iPhone SDK in....

Hey, I have been programming in VB.NET/.NET. What I;m wondering if I can program with .NET on the SDK. If I cant is there a list off the top of your head of all the languages you can program in? (C, etc...)

Thanks again

What in the world would make you think you can use .NET with the iPhone?

I mean I guess you could use Mono but... Ugh, why would you want to?

Absolutely not. I'm a .NET developer by trade myself... To be honest I'm amazed you even had to ask!!

I wish I could figure out why you need this weird defensive attitude whenever you post anything.

The .NET Framework is a key Microsoft offering and is intended to be used by most new applications created for the Windows platform.
.NET for Windows is like Obj-C for Mac. They will not work on the other OS.
You have to use Obj-C (and therefore C) to develope for the iPhone and you may use C++.

If you use Unity to make iPhone apps, then you use Mono, and C# or Unity's version of Javascript, which is more similar to JScript. Only version 1.1 of Mono I think, though, to keep library code size down.
