Its fun. Its like the ocarina app they have out. Press a button on the screen and blow or u can have it setup for touch to make music, slide your finger up and down to change pitch(i guess thats what it is). They have a list of songs you can pick to play and little leafs go to a note on the trombone where u are post to put your finger. so far i like it alittle better then ocarina just bc it seems easyer to pick up...will spend more time with it and post updates

o yeah It's not really a game. Its for playing music on your iphone.

Another silly yet really fun and innovative app from the creative minds from Smule. Why was it released before 3.0?

I find ocarina to be easier to play and sounds better.
This one is good, but it feels too weird, and not as natural as the ocarina is.

I'll post my first impressions.

The menu and buttons are really nice. The icon is also really nice, fits right into my home screen. Playing the instrument is also really fun. There are 2 ways to play the instrument either touch or wind. Touch mode is what I'm using as it is the easiest for beginners. Notes come up from the side like Guitar Hero except A LOT more difficult. The sound that is produced from the trombone is a little bit annoying but not too bad. The notes used for the songs are sometimes off and the song doesn't sound like anything.

Some things that this offers that Ocarina doesn't is the ability to be a judge. You can create an account and judge someone's performance. A pop up will come up asking you if you want to be a judge and it will have you judge someone's performance. You can type a comment and rate the user's performance from 1-10. The music notes are also available within the app while in Ocarina you had to go online. Although the judging feature is very cool, it just crashed out on me while trying to rate the user.

Overall, it's a very nice app with very nice designs, smooth menus, and a wonderfully designed icon. Learning to play the instrument shouldn't be too hard considering that it just shows the notes onscreen. Almost as addicting as Ocarina. Some fixes that Smule should make is smoother online play and a little bit better sound.

EDIT: I did not know how to actually play the instrument. Wonderful satisfaction.
