An absolute must-buy for me. I've been waiting for a great miniature train layout app, and this one looks really good. I know Trainz is out there, but I was looking for a game with less of a learning curve, so I can play it with the little ones. Can't wait to give this one a try !

I'm an app-oholic! And there's no 12-step program...

Game Impressions

I bought this thinking it would be a strategy game along the lines of Railroad Tycoon. It turns out it's nothing of the kind, and is in fact more of a puzzler. It also turns out it's actually quite good.

You're tasked with delivering various cargo to various points along your route as efficiently as possible. The train is always moving and will simply reverse direction when something is blocking its way. Be it the end of a line, or a red light that you've chosen to activate. You build track extensions and short cuts occasionally, but you don't get to plan your own route and it's a very minor part of the game so don't get this if you think you'll be strategically extending a railroad empire across a continent or you'll be very disappointed.

The graphics are bright and polished and the game does a nice job of providing an engaging atmosphere as well as drawing the player in with equally engaging gameplay. Recommended. Just don't expect Railroad Tycoon.

Thanks for the impressions, Gabrien. This isn't quite what I thought it would be, but it still sounds like a lot of fun. I think I'll take the plunge, too !

Looks interesting. Sounds sort of like a resource/time management game.

Looks great - going to have to grab this.

Wish we can get a serious Rollecoaster game -- the few sims that are out are useless and I can't stand those RolerCoaster Rush type games. RollerCoaster Tycoon on an iPad would be a match made in heaven.

^ Jcat, my company Zendorphin is making a theme park/rollercoaster tycoon type game. I'll PM you about it and you're welcome to be involved.

This game looks really cool by the way but need impressions - will come back tonight and hopefully there will be some. I only have $15 in my US account...
so many good ones coming out lately.
