Anyone try star fortress... The guy makes 3 games or so and they're all classic retro style.. I love vector graphics. But I have not bought any of them because of lack of icade support. One is like star castle which I can't get to work on imame. I can on mame on pc... Not imame on I device.

Anyway, was hoping we might all contact him, and stress our desire to buy if he adds icade support.

EDIT: Oh... and pretty much every SHMUP.

Default Paper Monsters... Finally!

A couple of days ago an update came out that finally provided iCade support for Paper Monsters. I think the YouTube iCade gameplay video released by the developers made some people think that support had already happened a while back. It seems it was more of a preliminary testing video.

Top left red button is used for jump. How do people feel about that? Is it just too whingey to wish that if there is no reason not to, to make all buttons in single button games the action button?

Should developers be using red buttons at all accept for menu type options (or rare 7-8 button games)? They are pretty close to control stick...

I am really enjoying Paper Monsters though. Very polished for an iOS platformer.

I get your point but i'm just thankful Paper Monsters has iCade support as many devs still dont bother.

So whether its just one red button or a black button or a whole row i dont mind as long as it works.

Thanks for the tip, just bought all 3 of his games. Huge fan of vector games (got 3 folders of them !), somehow had missed these out. Shame about iCade though

RE Paper monsters!

And amazing price... I have paid several times more for much less and was disappointed. This is priced to sell!!!!!!!!!! I think it's one of the most polished, rather THE most polished of all platformers. And probable best value in the app store.

I do find it a little unforgiving in damage/lives.

I love vectors, do you have spectre? I love them so much I used to have full size stand up battle zone in my family room. A few years till wife said sell that thing!
I can't figure out how to contact the developer... Might have to buy the games then leave feedback? He has a blog, but no way to post to him.

Another for the collection... Cosmic Castle! Also. Needs iCade! Game needs some tweaks, but all the basics are solid. And FREE

Very beautiful looking game. Haven't bought yet though as reviews say there are control/depth perception issues. Does iCade help with or solve these issues?
