I'm intrigued mainly because of my love of Infect Them All and Squish the Zombies. I may just pick this up when I have a little extra cash.

I would say to you: don't beg for a code!
But I would also say to devs: to make your game a little more "popular" let's give some promo codes (better through PM)...Thanks!
So I'm in doubt...to beg or not to beg? eheh joking!!!

Game Impressions

Here are my impressions:

Toast the Chicken is actually not so much Sokoban as it is a puzzle game where you manage multiple elements. The later levels do have some block pushing elements, but you are primarily focusing on the fire.

The gameplay works like this: there are some chickens in the room, and you have some torches. You drop torches down to make fires, which then expand at a rate of 1 square/2turns. You win the puzzle when the chickens on the screen are all burned up. Sounds simple, right? Except for a few conditions...

1) You can't get burned! Of course.
2) You can't burn any of your fellow scientist friends who happen to be in the same room.
3) The fire will expand up/down/left/right as long as there are no walls or obstacles in the way.
4) Chickens and people will move away from the fire as much as possible.

So you are essentially trying to figure out a way to plant the fire, then run and hope it doesn't kill you. It gets very complicated later on, when most obstacles and other things are thrown into the mix. It gets really crazy, too, when you have multiple fires burning at the same time. The game also has a gold/silver/bronze medal system -- you get more points for saving torches and for burning more tiles. So there's an incentive there to perfect the puzzle solution-- not just to solve it and move on.

I couldn't really compare this to any other game, except for Theseus and the Minotaur, which is different in several ways. It feels a little bit like playing a strange game of chess. It certainly has that same element of planning your moves on the board. I'd definitely recommend Toast the Chicken for anyone who is a hardcore puzzle fan. It may get a bit difficult for the average/casual player on later levels, but it's worth a try.

Also: graphics and sounds are cute and clean. Can't tell if it's retina optimized, but it looks fine as far as i can see. One minor complaint I have is that you can only move by swiping, which can get a bit tiring. Maybe add in a virtual dpad as a choice?
