I've been enjoying season 2 - reading the book just ahead of the episodes. It feels like the tv series took much bigger deviations from the book this season than the last. The first season felt like it was dead-on with the book. Some of the deviations are good and make sense to shorten the story - having Arya be the water-girl for Tywin makes sense and is a cool dynamic, but never happened in the book. Making Renly gay however, doesn't make any sense to me, other than perhaps making the Knight of Flowers super extra pissed at Stanis in the next season? "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

My favorite thing on the show and in the book is the Imp, the actor is awesome for it too. I think they shortchanged him on TV in the battle at blackwater though, in the book he was killing people left and right, and charged his horse onto a sinking ship before getting knocked down nearly killed by that kingsguard and rescued by his page.

i really dig the hairstyles in the show, especially the golden locks wigs worn by Cersei and Dany

Not the most exciting finale. It covered way too many events for one episode. Can't believe we have to wait a year for Season 3 though. Might actually get start reading the books, lol. The events in Qarth were pretty funny. Shit's about to go down at the Wall.

Good thing Suits starts again in 2 weeks.
