Been out of the loop for a while. Any standout releases?

I used to keep up with iOS gaming back when I had my iPad, but I got rid of it. I've just today got a new iPhone 4, so I'm wondering what big releases have come out over the past few months that people can recommend. I'm open to anything

The most useful would be is some big "upcoming" games that weren't out six months ago had been releases, so I could start with them!

Thanks for any suggestions

One of the easiest way to do it will be checking out TA reviews based on the ratings...

5 Stars : http://toucharcade.com/category/ratings/5-stars/
4.5 Stars : http://toucharcade.com/category/ratings/4-5-stars/
4 Stars : http://toucharcade.com/category/ratings/4-stars/

Once you're done with those, you may want to look at games with a little lower ratings if you wish.

RPGs I guess. Also, the more apps with retina support the better! Is retina support becoming standard now? Back when I had an iPad, retina support was kind of slowly being updated to the really popular games for iPhone 4. Is it more of a given at this point?

A few notable RPG releases:

Quest Runner
Chaos Rings Omega (if you've been gone that long)
Fantastic Knight (pretty good except for stilted dialogue)
Chroisen (controls are iffy)
Zenonia 3
Legends of Yore (free to play until level 20)

i'm a pretty kitty cat

Good suggestions, thanks. I would get Chaos Rings Omega, but I literally 100%'d it on my iPad. Finished all the stories, got max level with all the characters, got every item etc. From what I've heard, Omega is basically the exact same game with different characters... not sure I'm up for that.
