I guess you could have four mages--maybe two of them leveled up with strength and melee skills like battle mages and the remaining two could have stronger magic and spell capabilities. |

I notice the pause too, on an iPad 3. I've had the game almost since launch and only really got into it this past weekend. Despite the occasional lag, I'm loving it. Especially after realizing I can flip the screen orientation in the settings, and turn off the auto-follow on the main character, so I can scroll ahead on the screen, place the move marker and not be rubberbanded back. That got annoying.

Well it does please me that I am not the only one noticing the slight pauses
![]() It does surprise me just how much it lags sometimes even on the new iPad which has more memory etc. |

Strange. I have the iPad2 and I don't notice this pause. However, I usually run the app "Kill" - it's a process killer that closes all running programs and frees up memory by killing their process IDs (PIDs) - before playing a game. I bought the App Killer when it was first released and Apple has since removed it from the store since it can kill any running program. It beats having to manually do that by double-tapping the Home button, holding down on an app and and then clicking the "-" for each app.

Next time I play it I will make sure to close all the apps and then start it up and see what it is like then.

I believe the pause is an autosave that kicks in every several minutes of gameplay. I think it clears up after you get past your first big mission in The Kva and the game only autosaves when you move between areas. At least it seemed to settle down once I got to the Wyldrealm (and then allowed myself to get distracted by other games, dammit).
