Default !HELP iPod isnt recognized, wont restore or turn on

I know there was a recent thread on how someones iPod wouldn't turn on, but it wasn't really the same thing mines doing. I have a 16 gb iPod Touch 2nd Gen and it was an untethered jailbrake with quickfreedom. It's not like I had just tried to download something, I was just using it regularly and it started to freeze up (I have rebooted it in the last few days its not like it froze up because i didnt') so I tried to reboot it by holding the two buttons. Everything looked like it was going ok until the iPod did nothing. I waited 15 minutes and it wouldnt turn on. I tried to download 1click boot, and nothing happened. I put it in DFU mode and tried to restore and it told me I couldn't. I put it in DFU mode and shift clicked restore to the previous jailbroken firmware, and that also wouldnt work. I have no idea what to do, I'm not near an apple store, and frankly im afraid to send it to them jailbroken with a startup menu of a different apple logo that they can see. If anyone has any idea what is going on with my iPod, please tell me what i can do to fix it.

Thanks.

I'd say

Dfu>restore to original apple firmware>download a new ipsw>re break (use apple logo, don't use prebuilt firmware).

Usually these steps work out the problem, although it's not a gurantee

Ok well after a night of sleep i fixed it (im just posting this for anyone who has this same problem in the future.) All I did was put it in DFU mode and go into quickfreedom and start prejailbreak. Create a new firmware and when all that is done go into itunes and shift click restore (your new firmware will be on the desktop.) Then just keep going through the restore steps and it should work.

That's what you're supposed to do in the first place. :|
