Looks fun, but a little boring. I like casual games, but I will pass this one and maybe use to some past-retro-gems, or 1-Bit Ninja :P

Default Game Impressions

This game is extremely fun. It's another Chillingo classic.

The afterslide mechanic (you can aim a second time during the first slide) and time limit helps up the ante in earning stars per level. The game introduces different obstacles very quickly in early levels. Music is pleasantly soothing though not quite as catchy as other Chillingo's title like Feed Me Oil.

Somehow I feel this will play even better on an iPad without the need to zoom in and out. I also wish the graphics were better. The Zoom button needs to be in the bottom right corner so I can reach it easier. Also a Zoom slider would be better, cause right now while the Close Zoom lets you see your character perfectly, the Far Zoom is actually too far. I think that's instead of just showing the entire play area, it includes the wide scenery around it as well. Alternatively, pinch zooming and panning using 2 finger swipes would also be appreciated.

So yeah this is a must buy for casual fans. The pull to slide and afterslide mechanic make this actually more fun to play than House of Mice (though that game has superior presentation and level design). Pick it up.

It would be cool if updates brought even more obstables and scenarios. A ramp for the penguin to jump over enemies would be cool.

From that video this almost looks like a sort of mini-golf on ice? With a penguin instead of a ball?

I like the apparent physics and inertia. Would have picked this up at release but don't like this whole "pay more for universal" business. It's on my radar anyhow.

I begrudge having to pay double price for the version that supports retina.
