Bought this last night, really like Splatform, very very simple graphics but just has great gameplay.

Not so keen on Marz but to be fair its a classic old retro type game (I remember a similar type in for this type of game).

Looking forward to the other games coming out in the future. Well worth the money.

Thanks, glad you like it! The extremely simple graphics are due to staying 100% true to the original Commodore 64 version of the game. That C-64 version was extremely simple because it was a 1k (1,024 byte) game, created for a contest in 2002. It took 1st place!

It's from the "Bomber" genre that was pretty common in the early 1980s. I found that our testers that remember those games weren't overly keen on it either, but others who hadn't encountered a bomber game before liked it a lot more.

Thanks for your comments!

We've got a webpage for P1XL Party up now: http://p1xl.com/party/

For those of you that are Commodore 64 fans, two of the games have C-64 connections:

Marz has a very faithful C-64 look, and is based on the bomber games that were very common on that platform in the early 80s.

Splatform is a pixel-perfect port of the C-64 game I made in 2002. I entered it in a game coding competition (with a 1k file size limit!) and took first place out of 62 entries. It might be the original jumper game, if only I had beat PapiJump and DoodleJump to the App Store!

I forgot to add one more significant bit of Splatform trivia:

I was on the development team for the Commodore 64 DTV in 2004 - it was a plug and play joystick with a C-64 on a chip inside. As an easter egg, we hid Splatform and several other games inside, and approximately 250,000 units were made. So this game has already been around quite a bit!

Awesome, I love bleepy retro stuff. And I had my C64 DTV out just the other day. Good luck with the launch, Robin!

Great little collection. The style is great, a virtual floating pad would be a nice addition though.
