I've just used Jailbreak.me on my iPod 3. It now asks me if I am a User, Hacker or Developer. What do I use? I am not a dev for sure, but I do want to modify files, but is this classed as hacking?
Also, is jailbreak.me considered a full JB, same standard as manual one? |

Can you PM everything you did? I had bought it and I just can't get the thing to work. I might be doing something wrong with the 0755 permissions.

Loving my new jailbroken device!
![]() However, I've downloaded many modifications for games and the UI, all of which say must be activated in Winterboard... but I cannot see them anywhere in there; the only sub-category I have is for Themes. Can anyone help please? |

okay , this is my situation . I clicked this link my friend posted on fb and it led me to jailbreakme.com , I saw the cydia thingy and without reading. I accidentally clicked free and install , and .. the cydia app loaded. I didn't know what it was until I read the description . I tried to delete it but it appeared as a default app . Can you guide me on this ? how do I uninstall the jailbreak ? My software is 4.4.1but if I restore it , I will have to update it to 4.4.5 . I just backed up my iPhone 4 . will my data and app store apps be lost ? ( I have'nt installed anything from cydia ) If my data will be lost should I restore , any other way to uninstall the jailbreak while keeping the data and apps within the phone itself or a computer ?
it appears that apple released 4.4.4 to block cydia . my firmware is 4.3.1 , so if i update , will cydia be removed and my data remains the same ? |

The basic steps to get WB to work are as follows: 1) Open the Winterboard app (should be a new icon on your homescreen), or access it through Settings. 2) Go to Select themes, then check the ones you want. 3) Go back, and press the "respring" button at the top. Note that most themes need "summerboard mode" on to work. Quote:
You won't lose any of your app data, contacts, or other settings if you restore to a backup after using DFU. |
