As I said, I mean that if you restore and then load a backup, it can still leave traces of your jailbreak.

It's really easy-- all you do is a DFU restore (instructions online), which takes you about 10 minutes. The long part is waiting for iTunes to resync all of your apps and music, but it isn't difficult, just a bit annoying if you have a lot of stuff like me. You should be able to go back to the default 99.9999% of the time, because DFU restore is built into your device's hardware (which means the only way to break it would be to literally physically damage the device).

Does anyone know what sites are best for keeping up with "official" A5 device (iPhone 4S/iPad 2) jailbreak info, ie from dev team people? Google is not very helpful, a simple search ended up with tons of results all saying different things. I'm very suspicious about those sites saying just pay $19.99 and you can jailbreak your iPhone 4S untethered, when the dev team people saying the public release is still not ready yet. I saw "redmondpie.com" and it seems kinda official as it only feeds updates from the team and not those pay sites. I'm in a dilemma here as I wanna get an iPhone 4S, but as usual it's out of stock right now, I'm afraid when it's in stock Apple will release iOS 5.1. >_<

Modmyi and iFans are both pretty reliable. They always post the day a JB is released, and they usually post messages from devs and things picked up on their websites.

What are the best emulators for the Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Game Boy Advance, Playstation and Nintendo 64 in Cydia and do they cost?


Also, how many themes can you have? I saw a couple themes I want and I'd like to change them multiple times so is there a way I can just have multiple saved on my device to change at any time?

Quick question guys. The PC A5 JB isn't out yet. My 4S is connected to my PC. Can I go ahead and download the JB on my Mac instead even though my 4S has never connected to it? I'd rather have it there than my PC just incase I run into any issues.

It's out for PC now, but yes. As far as I know it doesn't require itunes to have done anything with your device previously.
