i usually wait. Fresh releases of iOS sometimes have bugs anyway-- if not with the OS itself, there's lots lots of apps that have issues because they haven't been updated yet. So you get a lot more crashes and random issues.

Hello Dubstep...
I had jailbroken my ipod touch once, to enable something that i dont even remember anymore... I want to do it again to enable the orientation lock. (I kno its only in portrait mode, is there a landscape lock too apart from the Apple way?)

So... I have a LOT of questions to ask, kindly bear with me.
Also I have read a lot so i'll probably provide you all the info in this one shot

Device details : iPod touch 2g 8gb, MB model, iOS 4.2.1
Running Mac os x 10.6.1 (I know am lethargic about a lot of updates)

What I want from the Jailbreak
Ability to toggle the wifi & brightness settings without the entire circus
Ability to access AppStore over wifi
Ability to sync using itunes like I have now

What are the pros?
Freedom, I kno!
backing up game progress
enabling options that are simpler but apple won't allow us to without buying their latest devices.
what are the other pros?
I don't want apps for free, I have paid for a load of them & the newest one are not meant for my iPod anyways

What are the cons?
No Warranty... not needed since over a year.
Not being able to install a few apps?
More cons?

What iOS to pick?
3.1.3 won't allow a lot of apps to run, will allow a lot of ram intense themes to be installed.
4.1 won't allow a few apps to be installed & run when compared to 3.1.3
4.2.1 will allow everything that I have now but will consume diskspace on airplay & air print features that I cannot use due to the device limitation (how much diskspace it is anyways?)

I am not a ram intense game person a lot of time, I have bought asphalt 2, 4 & 5, snatched copy of 6 when it went free, but have none installed on the device at the moment as its consumes a lot of disk space & those game saves are not worth it for me, on the other hand, game saves of worms 2, zenbound 2, rogue planet (which I have replayed a couple of times) are important to me.

I am sorry it is too long a post, but this is my way, descriptive & clear
EDIT:
How would apps like kik, nimbuzz behave? I mean will push notifications work when am switched into another app?

Default Theme compatibility with tweaks

Hi there,

Thanks for doing this by the way, I for one appreciate your help.

Just wondering, if I install a theme, let's say the 266HD themes that a lot of people seem to use, how can I tell if that will be compatible with my existing tweaks, to which I am now quite attached?

For example, if I were to install the 266HD, would my Auxo tweak still work?
Or my SBSettings?

Thanks for your help!
